Job Title: Security Engineer – Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer – Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to design, implement, and manage enterprise DLP solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Digital Guardian, a deep understanding of data security principles, and the ability to protect sensitive data across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive security mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Digital Guardian policies across endpoints, network, and discovery modules.
- Perform data discovery, classification, and tagging of sensitive data.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to DLP incidents to prevent data exfiltration.
- Develop and enforce DLP policies and procedures.
- Integrate Digital Guardian with other security and monitoring tools.
- Analyze logs and security events to identify potential data leaks.
- Automate DLP processes using scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal security teams, IT teams, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Provide documentation, training, and guidance on DLP best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) implementation and operations.
- Hands-on expertise with Digital Guardian (endpoint, network, discovery)
- Solid understanding of endpoint security, EDR, encryption, and device control.
- Knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, IDS/IPS, network protocols)
- Experience with data classification and sensitive data protection.
- Familiarity with incident response related to DLP events.
- Experience working with cloud-based DLP solutions.
Nice to Have:
- Scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell)
- Experience integrating DLP tools with SIEM or other security platforms.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CDPSE, Digital Guardian certifications.
