Oracle to Postgres Database Migration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:*

- Assess Oracle database schema and data for migration compatibility

- Design and implement migration strategy for Postgres in Google Cloud Platform

- Handle data type conversions, schema changes, and query rewrites

- Ensure data consistency and perform thorough testing

- Collaborate with dev teams to update applications for Postgres compatibility

- Optimize Postgres performance in the cloud

- Handle cutover and post-migration support

*Requirements:*

- 5+ years of Oracle and Postgres experience

- Proven migration experience (Oracle to Postgres preferred)

- Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform)

- Strong SQL and scripting skills (PL/SQL, Bash, Python)

- Experience with database performance tuning
