Position: API Backend Engineer
Location: Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
 

Job Summary:
Looking for a strong API/Backend Engineer to support cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives. The role focuses on building scalable APIs, enhancing backend systems, and working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance APIs and backend services using Java & Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS
  • Manage deployments, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Support modernization of legacy systems
  • Work across teams and contribute with minimal supervision

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and API development
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of API Gateway tools and GraphQL (preferred)
  • Experience with GitHub and CloudFormation for CI/CD

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of IAM, OAuth, and API security concepts
  • Ability to quickly adapt and work across multiple projects
