Position Overview
The Associate UI/UX Designer & Web Developer will contribute across the full lifecycle of digital experiences from user research and UX design to hands-on web development and implementation. This role requires a balanced skill set in UX methodology, visual design, and traditional web development, with the ability to translate user needs and design concepts into functional, responsive websites.
Key Responsibilities
UX Research & User Experience Design
Participate in UX discovery activities including user research, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering
Translate user and business needs into user flows, information architecture, and wireframes
Create low- to mid-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes
Apply usability, accessibility, and human-centered design principles
Conduct basic usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations
Ensure consistent UX across websites and applications
UI & Visual Design
Design high-fidelity UI mockups aligned with brand and UX standards
Create and maintain visual assets, page layouts, and design components
Support design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries
Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) for design execution
Web Development & Implementation
Develop and maintain responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Build and support front-end components using React.js
Maintain and update PHP-based websites and templates
Translate UX/UI designs into clean, functional, and accessible web pages
Test, debug, and optimize websites for performance and cross-browser compatibility
Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs and code efficiently
Follow established design and development best practices
Maintain basic documentation for design and technical updates
Required Qualifications
Experience in UI/UX design and web development (professional, freelance, or project-based)
Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience or exposure to React.js and PHP
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
Understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and basic accessibility (WCAG)
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time environment
Certifications
Google UX Certificate or equivalent UX/UI certification
Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UX Certification
Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) UX Certification
Adobe Certified Professional (Photoshop, XD, or related)
Front-end or web development certifications (React, JavaScript, PHP)
