Client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Technical Training Specialist to support the development and delivery of training curricula for the PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM 9.2) ERP system. This role requires a strong background in technical training, instructional design, accessibility-compliant content development, and ERP system training delivery.
The Training Specialist will work within a large, collaborative team to design, develop, and deliver role-based training content across multiple modalities, including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT, and asynchronous e-learning. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in curriculum development, technical writing, eLearning tools, and Agile, iterative delivery methods.
This position also supports the creation and maintenance of training materials for COTS products, in-house IT solutions, and desktop support processes.
The specialist will contribute to training infrastructure, documentation, testing activities, and continuous improvement of training programs.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Development
Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to specific financial business areas within PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
Develop accessibility-compliant, role-based training content from the ground up.
Create instructor materials including course outlines, instructional guides, job aids, exercises, and multimedia content.
Write and maintain technical training documentation, user guides, and supplementary materials.
Assist with formatting and refining training materials created by other DIR staff.
Break down complex technical topics into clear, digestible instructional units.
Training Delivery
Deliver onsite, virtual, and web-based training sessions for trainers and end users.
Conduct short technical courses to maintain proficiency and evaluate new instructional techniques.
Apply adult learning principles and alternative teaching methods to maintain engagement.
Incorporate new curriculum updates, examples, and clarifications into training delivery.
Technical & System Support
Participate in system design discussions and testing activities to ensure training accuracy.
Assist in designing computer-based and multimedia curriculum.
Support desktop processes such as Remote Access Systems (RAS) and related procedures.
Manage and update the training SharePoint site to ensure content accessibility and version control.
Program Management & Collaboration
Determine training needs and develop plans to meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile, iterative environment.
Research and recommend training vendors, tools, and delivery methods.
Maintain training program compliance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems.
Support staff with productivity reporting and documentation.
Accessibility & Customer Support
Apply EIR accessibility standards and assistive technology considerations in training content.
Communicate effectively with customers requiring special assistance.
Security & Compliance
Participate in pre-employment security review processes as required.

PREFERRRED
2 Preferred Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government)
