Job Description (JD) – Java Cloud Lead Developer

Location-Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Java Cloud Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications using Java technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of Java-based cloud applications.
Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Review code, enforce coding standards, and conduct design reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Create and maintain technical documentation and design specifications.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java (Java 11/17 or later), Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Understanding of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Knowledge of Git, Maven, Gradle, and software development best practices.
Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and system design.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
