The Cyber Systems Security Engineer is responsible for the configuration and administration of network information systems procedures for classified and unclassified IT network systems in accordance with the customer specific requirements for deliverable and non-deliverable labs. This position is in support of the F-22, F-16, and F-35 development laboratory programs.

The successful candidate will be required to: Interpret requirements to determine technical requirements and prepare to facilitate proper system configuration of network equipment. Provide engineering support for lab networks to include performing network configuration, system vulnerability assessments and assisting with the development of network architectures. The specific responsibilities include supporting development of system network requirements, evaluating system requirements from government information security documentation, and supporting system requirements translation into network architecture and implementation plans for the laboratory systems.

This position will require close coordination with the program System Security Engineering representatives, project management, system architects, chief engineers, project customers, hardware and software development teams, system integration teams, and other system security engineers implementing development requirements and system policies.

Candidates must exhibit excellent problem solving skills, be a team player, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be able to adjust work schedule periodically to support program activities.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

A level 3 employee Typically has 4 - 8 years of professional experience.

This position is located
at a facility that requires special access and must
have the ability to obtain SAP/SAR Clearances.

Basic Qualifications

4+ years experience with DoD secure labs
Active Secret Security Clearance
DOD 8570 Level II compliant certification,
CompTIA Security+ or higher
Experience with administration of various
manufacturer network devices using command
line interface
Experience with system administration of Linux
and/or Windows Systems (both Desktop and
Server)

Desired skills

Network Professional Certifications (CCIE, CCNA,
CCNP, Network+)
RMF knowledge and experience
Experience with network architecture design and configuration (e.g. Cisco, Extreme and/or Juniper switches)
Experience in system and network integration for
Windows and Linux platforms

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $116,200 - $201,365. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
