A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Study Operations Coordinator to join their User Research & Data Collection Programs team. In this role, you will serve as the operational core for human data collection and subjective user feedback studies, ensuring seamless session execution across complex lab environments and supporting cutting-edge product development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute participant recruitment plans via email and Slack outreach, managing end-to-end calendar scheduling, confirmations, and pipeline tracking to maintain study throughput.
• Serve as the face of the study, greeting participants, administering consent forms and NDAs, delivering safety briefings, and creating a welcoming, professional environment.
• Operate and maintain ground-truth capture equipment including motion capture systems, calibrated lighting rigs, multi-camera arrays, and supporting computer software.
• Own lab setup and teardown, perform pre-session calibration and QC checks, and maintain equipment inventories and consumable tracking.
• Support protocol development by executing standardized procedures reliably, providing structured feedback to study designers, and identifying operational bottlenecks.
• Execute post-session data offload procedures, perform basic data quality checks for file integrity and metadata tagging, and deliver concise weekly operational updates.
• Collaborate closely with study design, algorithm, and data teams to ensure operational outputs meet downstream processing requirements.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a research operations, lab coordination, or clinical/UX study coordination role.
• Demonstrated ability to execute standardized protocols consistently, manage concurrent study schedules, and flag deviations accurately.
• Naturally warm, personable communication style with non-technical participants, capable of putting individuals at ease while managing confidential information and NDAs.
• Strong operational rigor with clear, concise, and unambiguous written and verbal reporting habits.
• Familiarity with informed consent processes, participant confidentiality standards, and standard productivity/scheduling tools.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience supporting user research, human factors, or perceptual studies in a tech or product development context.
• Exposure to motion capture, computer vision, or multi-camera data collection environments.
• Working knowledge of data management practices, file naming conventions, and basic quality control checks.
• Familiarity with Apple platforms, devices, and working under strict confidentiality requirements.
