Senior Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Naperville, IL.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to define business requirements, improve processes, and support the delivery of effective business solutions. This individual will lead requirements discovery, manage backlog quality, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and translate complex business needs into actionable functional requirements. The role will also provide guidance to junior team members and help ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead requirements gathering and solution analysis by collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to define clear, actionable requirements
* Develop and maintain high-quality backlogs, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements aligned with business priorities and desired outcomes
* Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation, and operational performance
* Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to establish alignment on business needs, priorities, requirements, and proposed solutions
* Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively translated into solution designs
* Support solution testing and validation to ensure delivered capabilities meet business requirements and achieve intended outcomes
* Evaluate business processes and solution performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and measure business value
* Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts, promoting best practices in requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving

REQUIREMENTS:
* Relevant certifications in Agile, product management, or project management are a plus
* Experience using Jira or similar tools to manage requirements, backlogs, and project workflows
* Strong experience leading requirements discovery and translating complex business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
