What you'll be doing As a
Senior Client Analyst , you'll support the Private Wealth team by assisting with investment return calculations, performance measurement, and trading activity across client portfolios. You'll work closely with Relationship Managers and internal teams to ensure trades are processed accurately and on time, investment data is thoroughly analyzed, and reporting is clear and compliant with regulatory standards. You'll prepare and interpret complex performance calculations, helping to transform data into actionable insights for client presentations. In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you'll help provide exceptional day-to-day service to clients by responding to inquiries, supporting onboarding and account maintenance activities, and ensuring operational requests are handled promptly and accurately. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality investment services, strengthening client relationships, and maintaining data integrity through ongoing portfolio monitoring.
How you'll succeed - Deliver accurate performance and client reporting - Generate, update, and maintain client performance reports, including investment returns, asset allocation snapshots, and total portfolio performance. Prepare materials and reports to support client meetings and relationship development.
- Ensure operational excellence - Accurately process trade activity, wires, address changes, and other account updates. Support onboarding, account openings, and operational requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively - Serve as a key point of contact for clients, Relationship Managers, internal partners, and service teams. Provide clear, responsive, and proactive communication to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Analyze and report on data - Interpret and communicate performance results to internal stakeholders; assist in preparing presentations and materials for client meetings.
- Problem-solve and follow through - Research and resolve client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Stay informed - Use internal systems, Bloomberg Terminal, and third-party sources for ongoing data gathering and analysis.
Who you are - You have a relevant educational background. You hold a bachelor's degree, ideally in accounting, finance, or economics.
- You bring industry experience. You have at least 5 years of experience in investment analysis, financial services, or a related field. Experience in client service or Private Wealth account management is an asset.
- You're client-focused and detail-oriented. You excel at interpreting performance data, preparing return calculations, and managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to clients.
- You have strong technical skills. You are proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications, familiar with Bloomberg, performance reporting tools, and internal platforms.
- You have an analytical mindset. You possess strong quantitative reasoning skills and are comfortable working with numerical and investment data.
- You're a strong communicator. You can clearly explain financial concepts to clients and colleagues, both in written and verbal formats, and interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Certifications are an asset. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is considered an asset.

California residents - your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employment At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected base salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 for the San Francisco, CA market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
