Automation Tester

Gridiron IT is seeking an Automation Tester to support a federal program on a remote basis.
Role Description:

Develop and implement end-to-end testing strategies using quality processes and methodologies. Create and implement test plans. Monitor and manage test results, ensuring testing objectives have been satisfied. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

Transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.

Design and develop test-driven engineering solutions and improve processes to deliver robust products and high-quality solutions. Scale testing efforts with cross-functional teams and create behavior driven scripts to support diverse scenarios. Work with test engineers, developers, architects and designers to develop test plans and implement functional, automated tests.
Testing activities will include designing and writing both manual and automated tests from functional requirements and automating tests in Java using Serenity, Selenium, and REST Assured to validate both UI and API requirements. Automation will run on Jenkins or GitLab and testers will review and report on results, coordinating with developers and creating defects as necessary. Testers will demonstrate new application functionality to product owners and coordinate UAT testing, as needed.

SENIOR: Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.

Software Developer, Systems Software - Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software. Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical
analysis.
Experience:

• 7 10 years total experience

• Comfortable managing competing priorities
• Self-starter (not everything will be handed to them)
• Strong communication with client-facing teams

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $70-75 hourly (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
