WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM The Senior Manager, TSG Program Management leads complex, cross-functional programs that advance Bain's strategic and technology priorities, partnering with senior leaders to translate business goals into structured delivery plans. They balance strategy and execution-driving coordination across business and technical teams, managing risk, and ensuring progress toward measurable outcomes. Senior Managers apply structured problem-solving and clear communication to maintain alignment, enable decision-making, and guide teams through change. They strengthen delivery consistency by mentoring colleagues, reinforcing use of shared tools, and supporting smooth transitions to long-term ownership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Program Strategy & Leadership
- Leads complex, cross-functional programs that advance Bain's strategic and technology priorities, in partnership with and under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Drives the solution-shaping process in partnership with functional leaders, integrating business and technical input to evaluate SaaS or implementation partners and balance feasibility, risk, and value trade-offs.
- Partners with business and technical teams to translate strategy into actionable delivery plans, defining scope, success measures, and governance to ensure clarity, accountability, and benefit realization.
- Communicates program progress, risks, and insights to stakeholders with clarity and context, ensuring leadership has the visibility needed for timely decisions and alignment on outcomes.
- Engages business and technical stakeholders to align plans, manage dependencies, and maintain shared accountability for delivery.
- Plans and supports a smooth transition from program delivery to long-term ownership, ensuring receiving teams are equipped to sustain outcomes and continue realizing value.
Execution & Delivery Management
- Leads day-to-day execution across multiple interconnected workstreams, managing risks, trade-offs, and issues to maintain momentum and accountability; flex across planning, coordination, and delivery activities as needed to support progress.
- Facilitates decision-making among stakeholders, surfacing misalignments early and coordinating with leadership to resolve them.
- Applies and adapts delivery methodologies and tools to fit program needs, maintaining discipline in tracking milestones, dependencies, financials, and benefit realization.
- Engage specialized expertise (e.g., Security, Change Enablement, Data Privacy) at appropriate points to support adoption, compliance, and sustainable outcomes.
- Monitors outcomes and benefit realization, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring program results align with business objectives.
- Run regular feedback loops (e.g., retrospectives, health checks) to monitor team dynamics, identify improvement areas, and adjust program ways of working to maintain alignment and momentum
- May manage temporary or rotational staff like interns or contractors to complete this work.
Functional Leadership & Reusability
- Contribute to advancing Bain's program management capabilities by identifying opportunities to improve consistency, scalability, and impact.
- Develop and share reusable assets, including templates, tools, and lessons learned, grounded in outcomes from Bain programs.
- Stay informed on external trends, such as AI, and apply relevant insights to improve program outcomes in Bain's context.

Experience
- Demonstrated success leading complex efforts that span business and technology teams, coordinating across multiple stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders to align priorities, share progress, and support decision-making.
- Exposure to both Agile and traditional project environments, with experience applying and adapting delivery methodologies to fit initiative needs.
- Experience managing interdependencies, risks, and budgets within large-scale delivery efforts.
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain's best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level

Annual discretionary performance bonus
This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
