Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical components, systems, and equipment for small robotic platforms and ground-based vehicles. This role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on engineering capability, and the ability to work independently on complex design challenges.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in analog/digital circuit design, EDA tools, DFMEA, and functional safety, along with a passion for innovation in robotics and embedded systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, components, and circuits for robotics and vehicle platforms
  • Perform analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB development
  • Define and execute testing, validation, and verification strategies
  • Lead or contribute to DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities
  • Conduct functional safety analysis and ensure compliance with system requirements
  • Develop and support control systems, instrumentation, and embedded interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing
  • Ensure systems meet customer specifications and quality standards
  • Support field installations, troubleshooting, and system optimization
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership when required

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical or hardware design
  • Strong experience with EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, KiCad, etc.)
  • Expertise in analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with DFMEA and functional safety analysis
  • Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or ground vehicle platforms
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and control systems
  • Familiarity with PCB layout, signal integrity, and power design
  • Experience in manufacturing support and system integration
  • Prior experience in technical leadership or mentoring roles
