Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join an engineering team supporting enterprise applications for a major automotive organization. The developer will design, develop, test, and deploy web applications, APIs, web services, and microservices while working closely with product teams, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, React.js or Angular, modern databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications, REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
• Develop backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive frontend applications using React.js or Angular.
• Work with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Develop and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Maven, and Gradle.
• Collaborate with product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, pair programming, and technical design discussions.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
• Ensure software quality through tools such as SonarQube, ESLint, Prettier, and Checkstyle.
• Work with testing frameworks including JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers, Spring Boot Test, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Apply SOLID, DDD, clean code, design patterns, and refactoring principles.
• Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, UI/UX designers, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile practices including JIRA, backlogs, iterations, and user stories.
• Help improve legacy applications, technical processes, and overall engineering quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of Core Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Strong experience with React.js and/or Angular.
• 3+ years of experience with modern relational and non-relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Experience with Jenkins, Tekton, Terraform, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, and/or Apigee X.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles.
• Proven experience with TDD and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of API development and microservices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or similar frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid position – 4 days onsite per week.

Ideal Candidate: Senior-level Java Full Stack Developer with strong Java + Spring Boot + React/Angular + Database + Cloud + CI/CD + TDD experience and a Bachelor’s Degree.
