ServiceNow Developer with one of our top clients in the Baton Rouge, LA area.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
- 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong experience with: Workflow, ITIL best practices
- Integrations (Integration Hub, Service Graph Connectors, REST, MID Server)
- Experience with Data Fabric
- Proficiency in JavaScript (client-side and server-side)
- PowerShell scripting experience (for MID Server/datacenter interactions)
- Ability to work onsite in Baton Rouge, Monday-Friday
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Onsite expectation: 5 days onsite M-F
Pay range: $45-$50 an hour

The ServiceNow Developer will support the design, configuration, development, and ongoing enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on ITSM and ITOM. This role is ideal for a mid-career developer who is comfortable building workflows, integrations, and scripted solutions while collaborating with analysts, end users, and technical teams. The developer will participate in platform upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using platform best practices.
Build and maintain workflows, Flow Designer flows, business rules, client/server-side JavaScript, UI policies, and catalog items.
Support integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, MID Server, and Service Graph Connectors.
Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications with guidance from senior team members.
Participate in unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, defects, and integration errors.
Monitor platform performance, data quality, and usage trends, escalating complex issues when needed.
Support day-to-day operations of ITSM and ITOM modules.
Maintain documentation for configurations, enhancements, and fixes.
Participate in platform upgrades, regression testing, and validation activities.
Ensure customizations follow upgrade-safe development standards.
Assist with reviewing new ServiceNow features and recommending improvements.
Collaborate with analysts, end users, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Communicate development progress, issues, and timelines clearly.
Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and review sessions.
Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts.
Follow established development standards and help reinforce best practices.
Provide occasional guidance to junior developers (not a formal leadership role).
Support ongoing platform optimization and automation initiatives.
Participate in special projects that enhance ServiceNow capabilities and maturity.
