? Location: Remote (However, candidate must have the ability to report in person if required. John Fitch Plaza, Trenton, NJ 08625)
? Experience with large-scale system tax-financial-Unemployment modernization preferred.
Description:
The Testing Specialist shall be responsible for managing project activities that require close coordination with the systems design and development, as well as coordinating the activities and direction of the other participating state/county agencies.
Testing Specialist Activities:
? Developing comprehensive data mapping documentation/diagrams, test plan for the modernized system;
? Utilizing SQL Developer and SQL Modeler with Oracle databases in order to create data analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets, acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources, filtering and cleansing data;
? Working with database and application development technical staff, business analysts, stakeholders Vendor and/or State staff to understand data integration, data mapping, data conversion, and implementation;
? Establishing testing criteria and success metrics aligned with project objectives;
? Aiding the system implementation vendor in crafting a data migration strategy and schedule;
? Developing detailed test cases and scenarios covering functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing;
? Setting up the testing environment;
? Systematically executing test cases, documenting results and defects;
? Performing various testing types, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing;
? Logging, tracking, and prioritizing defects based on severity and impact; Collaborating with developers for timely issue resolution;
? Conducting security tests to identify vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with security standards;
? Facilitating sessions with end-users to validate system efficacy, gathering feedback, and making adjustments based on input;
? Providing detailed test reports to stakeholders, encompassing test coverage, results, and unresolved issues;
? Participating in data validation and quality assurance efforts during migration;
? Conduct data migration validation to ensure data integrity between legacy and modernized systems; assist with data conversion testing
? Assisting in resolving data-related issues post-launch and evaluating testing processes for improvement;
? Evaluating the existing system to pinpoint areas for enhancement and determine testing requirements;
? Defining data migration needs and assisting in data mapping activities;
? Examining and documenting current interfaces, including Pro-C batch jobs, data sources, data structures, and data governance policies, utilizing and enhancing existing interface specification and data mapping documents; and
? Recording lessons learned and best practices for future reference.
