Tech Valley Talent has an opening for an Analytics & Reporting Consultant.

Project entails enhancing financial and operational outcomes for distressed hospitals by developing compelling, user-centric Tableau dashboards. Primary focus will be on front-end dashboard creation-designing intuitive interfaces, crafting impactful data visualizations, and tailoring insights to end-user needs. Additional focus area includes using existing Python data pipelines to run or enhance code on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and / or Snowflake as it relates directly to powering the dashboard(s). The role is primarily virtual / remote with monthly collocation in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will need to be able to obtain a security clearance from Client.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize advanced Tableau dashboards for financial and operational analytics tailored to healthcare stakeholders.
Work directly with end users to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and incorporate feedback into dashboard development.
Connect Tableau dashboards to existing databases and data pipelines (Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform), ensuring seamless data flow and up-to-date insights.
Utilize Python coding skills to run, test, and adjust existing scripts on Google Cloud Platform and in Snowflake environments as needed for data sourcing.
Collaborate with backend engineers and data pipeline developers to ensure dashboard data sources are well-structured and reliable.
Apply visualization and UI/UX best practices, emphasizing clarity, performance, and actionable storytelling.
Conduct data validation and quality checks within Tableau to ensure the accuracy of visual outputs.
Document dashboard logic, usage guidelines, and provide user training/support for report consumers.
Meet regularly with stakeholders-including the client's senior database administrator-for requirements gathering and ongoing updates.
Demonstrate proactive communication and effective teamwork across cross-functional teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Tableau dashboard development (front-end focus, including advanced interactivity, calculated fields, and parameterization)
Proficient in data visualization/UI best practices and conveying findings to non-technical audiences
Experience connecting Tableau to Snowflake and/or Google Cloud Platform data sources
