The Mission
StaffRight Associates has been retained to spearhead a critical mission: the architectural metamorphosis of a complex, high-volume logistics ecosystem. We are seeking a Lead Systems & Data Architect to orchestrate the migration of legacy infrastructure into a high-performance, cloud-native environment. This is not a theoretical oversight role; it is a high-stakes engineering challenge requiring the synthesis of deep software development with modern data fabric orchestration. The objective is to decouple decades of technical debt and engineer a resilient, scalable mission architecture that enables seamless enterprise data liquidity and real-time analytics.
Core Technical Objectives
Orchestrate the end-to-end migration of legacy on-premise frameworks to a sophisticated cloud-based ecosystem (Azure), ensuring zero-loss structural alignment during the transition.
Synthesize diverse enterprise and third-party data streams into a unified One Lake architecture, eliminating silos through rigorous data lakehouse design patterns.
Engineer robust, high-throughput integration layers utilizing event-driven and queue-based patterns (e.g., Kafka) to ensure system resilience and low-latency data flow.
Formalize a Medallion-style data enrichment pipeline, validating data integrity across bronze, silver, and gold layers to power advanced business intelligence suites.
Deploy hands-on technical solutions by maintaining a continuous in-the-weeds development presence, bridging the gap between high-level architectural blueprints and functional C#/.NET or Java code.
Validate system performance through deep-dive technical audits, providing mentorship to the engineering team on sophisticated integration trade-offs and architectural best practices.
Optimize data searchability and accessibility by collaborating across the organizational landscape to identify and ingest overlooked data assets into the central repository.
Candidate DNA
Architectural Philosophy: A practitioner who views architecture through the lens of execution. You must possess the Developer-First pedigree, having ascended from a heavy software engineering background rather than a pure DBA or Data Science track.
Cloud Data Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of the modern cloud data warehouse stack, specifically within the Azure ecosystem. Direct experience with unified data analytics platforms (Fabric, Databricks) and cloud-native warehousing (Snowflake) is essential.
Engineering Depth: Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET (preferred) or Java, with a proven ability to solve complex algorithmic challenges and design intricate system integrations.
Domain Expertise: Demonstrated success in implementing Technical Synthesis—transforming raw, multi-source data environments into structured, high-value report suites using modern streaming and ETL/ELT methodologies.
Security & Clearance: Must hold U.S. Citizenship to align with specific security mandates.
Geographic Alignment: Preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone (EST), with a willingness to engage in occasional site-specific collaboration.
