Automation Test Lead

Position: Automation Test Lead
Location: Holmdel, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

on W2

Must have prior experience in the Insurance domain (Claims preferred).

Mainframe and API Testing 

• Lead end-to-end testing efforts for Claims E2E Transformation project implementations, enhancements, and upgrades across all applications and teams contributing to the delivered solution.
• Define and manage test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business requirements
• Responsible for preparation of detailed test cases and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements
• Perform test execution across multiple phases (Functional, System, Integration, and UAT) ensuring coverage and traceability
• Participate in defect triage meetings, defect analysis, prioritize based on severity/impact, and coordinate with development teams for timely resolution
• Ensure test repository (test cases, test data, scripts, and artifacts) is maintained, version-controlled, and updated regularly for reusability and audit readiness
• Execute batch jobs (JCL), DB validation (DB2/VSAM), CICS screen testing
• Validate API request/response (status codes, headers, payloads). Handle XML/JSON validations and schema checks
• Perform REST/SOAP testing using tools like Postman
• Explore potential automation opportunities leveraging existing tools
• Validate data integrity across systems (DB-API-downstream)
• Execute regression testing cycles for each release/sprint to validate existing functionalities and prevent defect leakage
• Maintain test evidence and documentation to support quality metrics, reporting, and governance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, DevOps) for test planning, execution alignment, and release readiness
