Pay Rate: $60.00-$65.00/hour
We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Design Engineer for a temporary contract opportunity in Newark, CA. This role is ideal for engineers with strong product design, CAD, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, develop, and test mechanical products, tools, machines, and equipment
- Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Analyze customer design proposals to determine project scope, timelines, and feasibility
- Support product development from concept through manufacturing and testing
- Collaborate with drafters and engineers on structural and mechanical designs
- Use CAD software to create and modify detailed models and drawings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Identify design improvements to enhance quality, performance, and cost efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 5-7 years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Strong experience with CAD software and engineering design tools
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong teamwork skills in a collaborative environment
