Summary


The ServiceNow & SAM Licensing Consultant supports enterprise clients by implementing ServiceNow solutions, optimizing software asset management processes, and ensuring accurate licensing, entitlement management, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Consulting

  • Configure and implement ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITAM, SAM, CMDB, and workflow automation.
  • Lead deployments of new ServiceNow instances for large enterprise clients across healthcare, insurance, retail, and financial services.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems such as Epic EMR, Azure DevOps, SCCM, and identity platforms.
  • Assess existing IT and cybersecurity asset management processes and recommend improvements to data quality and operating models.
  • Build scalable request workflows, automation, dashboards, and governance standards.

Software Asset Management & Licensing

  • Manage large scale SAM implementations including onboarding thousands of entitlements.
  • Analyze software usage, contracts, and entitlements to identify compliance gaps and cost savings opportunities.
  • Perform license reconciliation, audit support, and vendor compliance reviews.
  • Maintain software inventories using ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, or Snow to ensure accurate lifecycle tracking.
  • Develop reporting and governance frameworks to strengthen SAM processes across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (ITSM, ITAM, SAM, CMDB).
  • Strong understanding of software licensing, entitlement management, and SAM audit processes.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator / ITIL v4 Foundations.
  • Proficiency with asset management platforms (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow).
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Background in enterprise IT operations, cloud technologies, and configuration baselines.
