Role: Lead Gen AI Engineer (.NET / Azure)

Job Summary

We are looking for a strong Gen AI Engineer / Technical Lead with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and modern .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of enterprise-grade AI-powered applications using Azure OpenAI and cloud-native architectures. This role requires hands-on experience in Gen AI integration, API development, Azure services, and application modernization. 

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, develop, and implement enterprise AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and related Azure AI technologies

·       Build scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications using .NET 7/.NET 8 and Microsoft Azure

·       Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, AI orchestration layers, and intelligent automation workflows

·       Lead modernization of monolithic and N-Tier applications into Microservices and cloud-native architectures

·       Implement AI-powered solutions such as chatbots, copilots, document intelligence, semantic search, and workflow automation

·       Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI-driven technical solutions

·       Conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and ensure high-quality delivery standards

·       Mentor development teams and drive technical leadership across projects

·       Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps

·       Participate in architecture discussions, solution planning, and customer-facing technical workshops

Required Skills

Gen AI & AI Technologies

·       Strong hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI ecosystem

·       Experience building Gen AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embeddings, vector search, and AI orchestration frameworks

·       Knowledge of Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar AI orchestration frameworks

·       Experience integrating AI models with enterprise applications and APIs

·       Understanding of responsible AI, AI security, and governance best practices

.NET & Backend Development

·       Strong experience with .NET Framework 4.8.1, .NET Core, .NET 7, and .NET 8

·       Expertise in developing RESTful APIs using .NET Web API and ASP.NET Core

·       Strong understanding of API-first architecture and Microservices design patterns

·       Experience with serverless development using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Web Apps, and WebJobs

Azure Cloud

·       Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform

·       Strong expertise in cloud-native application development and modernization

·       Hands-on experience with Azure services including:

o   Azure Functions

o   Azure App Services

o   Azure Logic Apps

o   Azure OpenAI

o   Cosmos DB

o   Azure Storage

o   Azure Key Vault

o   Azure API Management

·       Experience designing scalable and high-performance cloud solutions

Frontend & Full Stack

·       Working knowledge of Angular, React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks

·       Ability to support end-to-end full-stack solution development

DevOps & Agile

·       Experience with Azure DevOps (VSTS), CI/CD pipeline setup, and deployment automation

·       Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

·       Experience leading Agile delivery teams
