Zora AI is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead end-to-end product design for GenAI-powered experiences, translating complex model capabilities into simple, trustworthy workflows. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science/ML, and Risk/Legal to deliver usable, accessible, and governable user experiences across web and/or enterprise platforms. Role is remote
What you’ll do (responsibilities)”
• Own UX for key Zora AI product areas: discovery → definition → design → validation → launch → iteration.
• Translate product strategy and model capabilities into user journeys, information architecture, and interaction patterns.
• Design AI-specific experiences: prompt/input patterns, outputs, citations/provenance, feedback loops, error states, and safe fallback behaviors.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in a scalable system (components, patterns, tokens).
• Lead and/or partner on user research (concept tests, usability, diary studies) and synthesize insights into design decisions.
• Define and measure UX success metrics (task success, time-on-task, comprehension, trust, adoption, deflection).
• Collaborate with ML/engineering to align on model constraints, latency, confidence, and evaluation signals that impact UX.
• Ensure experiences meet accessibility (WCAG) and enterprise requirements (security, permissions, auditability).
• Contribute to and evolve the design system and content standards (UX writing for AI, tone, disclaimers).
• Manage the UX team’s work and mentor UX designers on the team and elevate design quality via critiques, coaching, and pragmatic craft standards.
What you’ll need (required qualifications)
• 6–10+ years of UX/Product Design experience delivering shipped digital products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design (enterprise, analytics, or productivity preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to design for GenAI/AI features (or adjacent complex systems) with clear rationale.
• Fluency in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping; strong design critique and storytelling skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, and ideally data/ML partners.
• Ability to lead junior UX designers and delegate work to balance multiple priorities.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, making tradeoffs, and driving alignment with stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design patterns.
Nice to have
• Experience designing LLM-based assistants, agentic workflows, retrieval/search, or evaluation/feedback systems.
• Experience with Figma Make or other prompt based prototyping tools
• Familiarity with trust, safety, and governance UX (human-in-the-loop, audit trails, permissions).
• Background in service design or end-to-end journey mapping across channels.
• Experience with regulated or risk-sensitive environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, public sector).
Key deliverables
• Journey maps, service blueprints, task flows
• IA/navigation models, wireframes, interactive prototypes
• High-fidelity UI, responsive specs, component contributions
• Research plans/readouts, usability findings, design decision logs
• Metrics definitions and post-launch iteration plans
How success will be measured (example outcomes)
• Increased task completion and reduced time-to-complete core workflows
• Improved user trust/comprehension of AI outputs (measured via tests/surveys/behavior)
• Reduced fallback/escalation rates through better guidance and error recovery
• Faster delivery via reusable patterns and a stronger design system
