COMPENSATION: $52 - $62 HOURLY
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support our supply chain operations. This role focuses on bearings and off-the-shelf (OTS) components including cameras, cables, and related electronic/mechanical parts. The position will be instrumental in ensuring timely procurement, supplier management, and inventory optimization for critical components used in manufacturing and fulfillment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for bearings and OTS components such as cameras, cables, connectors, and sensors.
- Assess suppliers based on cost competitiveness, technical expertise, and business terms.
- Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage Request for Quote (RFQ) processes and maintain supplier scorecards.
- Maintain technical specifications and datasheets for components.
- Support engineering teams with component selection and compatibility assessments.
- Analyze component costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records in supply chain management systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or supplier management.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of bearings, mechanical components, and electronic OTS parts. Proficiency with supply chain management systems and ERP software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive, robotics, or manufacturing supply chains.
- Knowledge of component sourcing for fulfillment or automation equipment.
- Familiarity with supplier evaluation frameworks and cost analysis methodologies.
- Experience with technical component specifications and datasheets.
Work Environment
This is an office-based position with the potential for occasional supplier visits. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
