Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Operations Manager with 10+ years of experience leading data protection and cyber risk operations. The ideal candidate will manage a team supporting DLP (Data Loss Prevention), DAM (Database Activity Monitoring), DSPM (Data Security Posture Management), DAG (Data Access Governance), and related data-centric security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations across DLP, DAM, DSPM, CASB, SaaS security, Shadow IT, data classification, and access governance.
• Manage DLP controls across email, endpoint, web, GenAI, USB, printing, and cloud channels using tools such as Zscaler, Netskope, and Microsoft Purview.
• Oversee database monitoring across on-premises and cloud platforms using Imperva SecureSphere and DSF.
• Manage DSPM activities across AWS, Microsoft 365, file shares, databases, and unstructured data repositories using Securiti.AI and related tools.
• Lead data discovery, classification, entitlement analysis, least-privilege remediation, tagging, cataloguing, and tokenization activities.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for technical issues, urgent matters, control gaps, and client concerns.
• Drive automation and efficiency using AI, Python scripting, Terraform, dashboards, and repeatable workflows.
• Manage Jira backlogs, sprint planning, delivery tracking, reporting, RAID logs, and operational governance.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, AWS Cloud, Infrastructure, Database, IAM, Compliance, Privacy, and Application teams.
• Present clear operational, risk, and executive updates to client leaders during governance forums and live events.
• Support applicable U.S. and New York cybersecurity requirements, including NYDFS and insurance-sector security expectations.
• Maintain runbooks, procedures, audit evidence, metrics, KRIs, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, security engineering, or related operations.
• Experience managing technical teams and multiple enterprise security workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of DLP, DAM, DSPM, DAG, CASB, data classification, and cloud data security.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Zscaler, Netskope, Imperva, Securiti.AI, Microsoft Purview, or comparable platforms.
• Working knowledge of Terraform, AWS security services, Python, SMTP relays, ServiceNow, and Jira.
• Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data security across databases, SaaS platforms, cloud storage, and file shares.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues and manage urgent client escalations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, reporting, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with Agile delivery, sprint management, backlog prioritization, and operational metrics.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or relevant cloud security certifications.
