Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated QA Automation Contractor to join our engineering team during a critical phase of product development. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and user experience of our enterprise software platform.
As a contractor, you will immediately integrate into our active sprint cycles. You will be responsible for setting up a test automation framework from scratch, integrating automated test suites into DevOps platforms, managing regression suites, API validation, executing test cases, identifying and documenting software defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality release.
Key Responsibilities
Build Automation Test
- Build automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and BrowserStack Low-Code Automation.
- Maintain and execute existing automated test scripts.
- Analyze automation test results.
Test Execution & Analysis
- Learn our product ecosystem to plan, write, and execute comprehensive test cases, including:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
Defect Tracking
- Identify, isolate, and thoroughly document software bugs in FreshService and Azure DevOps.
- Provide clear, reproducible steps, logs, screenshots, and video evidence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers.
- Understand feature requirements.
- Clarify edge cases.
- Validate bug fixes.
Environment Validation
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing across:
Release Support
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Assist with sprint planning activities.
- Provide final QA sign-off for scheduled production deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of dedicated Software Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience building automation test suites for .NET web applications.
Methodologies
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Methodologies.
- Thorough knowledge of the Software Test Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience building automation frameworks following Test Automation Pyramid principles is preferred.
