Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Databricks to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and Databricks
Work with large datasets using distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark (Databricks)
Build and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability
Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, data lakes, etc.)
Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, BI, and Product
Manage and optimize data storage solutions (e.g., Delta Lake, Data Lake)
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong programming skills in Python
Hands-on experience with Databricks
Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark)
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes
Experience working with SQL and relational databases
Familiarity with Delta Lake and data lake architectures
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema)
Experience with version control tools like Git

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with big data technologies and distributed systems
Exposure to data governance and security best practices

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in an agile environment
Attention to detail and data quality
