Job Description:
Role Overview:
A team is being formed to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that enable scalable, production-grade generative AI integrations. This team is responsible for delivering a modular connector architecture, beginning with Databricks and Snowflake, to support a growing AI agent ecosystem.
We are hiringa senior Python-focused MCP developer immediately to support a critical proof-of-concept deadline. These are hands-on engineering roles requiring deep Python expertise, strong MCP knowledge, and the ability to deliver independently within an evolving architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain MCP connectors for enterprise platforms (initial focus on Databricks and Snowflake).
- Develop clean, production-ready Python services and libraries supporting connector architecture.
- Integrate with a variety of third-party APIs, authentication models, and data sources.
- Contribute to early-stage architecture while delivering high-quality, production-grade code.
- Build and maintain unit tests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with AI agent teams and technical leadership to align connector behavior with platform needs.
- Participate in in-office technical discussions, design reviews, and implementation planning.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Python expertise (primary language) with 3 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
- Direct MCP experience is required (approximately 1+ year preferred).
- Proven experience building production Python applications (not scripting-only roles).
- Solid understanding of Model Context Protocol concepts, behaviors, and lifecycle.
- Familiarity with or hands-on experience using the FastMCP library.
- Ability to work independently, own deliverables end-to-end, and contribute immediately.
- Experience working with REST APIs, authentication flows, and external vendor integrations.
- Working knowledge of:
- SQL (Postgres preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git-based development workflows
