Job Description:
The Construction Project Manager (CM) provides site-level project management for DEC (Data Center) projects, ensuring execution is safe, on schedule, and within budget. This role will assist in the management of the Type F Build and network and retrofit projects and will be responsible for supporting all scope aspects including safety, quality, schedule, and budget. The CM collaborates closely with cross-functional partners, on-site contractors, connectivity installers, and other stakeholders to deliver new Data Center capacity in Gallatin, TN and Madison, AL that meets client standards for quality and predictability.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day activities with General Contractors and Telecomm Partners.
Drive solutions to preserve business unit goals and KPIs.
Serve as the point of contact for external partners ( Trade Partners, Suppliers).
Provide input into constructability and assist in project schedule creation and maintenance.
Escalate key issues for coordination with Campus Construction Management and Facilities Operations Project Management.
Demonstrate strengths in project management, problem solving, partnership, leadership, and behavioral skills.
Navigate complexities of large-scale data center builds with significant capital expenditure.
The CM is expected to work closely with tenured DEC Delivery team members for onboarding and guidance on applying knowledge to client systems and procedures.
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably with large-scale projects ($100M+) Proven experience managing general contractors and trade partners.
Field experience in commercial construction (Data Center, Mission Critical, Oil, Gas, Chemical, or similar industries).
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud) is a plus.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience with large-scale project delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Education
Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred
