Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Allegro Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) solutions and a strong understanding of the Natural Gas trading lifecycle. The Allegro SME will serve as the primary functional expert for Allegro, partnering with business stakeholders across trading, scheduling, risk, settlements, accounting, and IT teams to optimize business processes, support system enhancements, and drive successful project delivery.

This role requires a blend of business process knowledge, system expertise, and stakeholder management skills to ensure Allegro effectively supports front, middle, and back-office operations.

Key Responsibilities

·  Act as the primary Allegro SME, providing strategic and functional guidance across the platform.

·  Partner with Trading, Risk, Scheduling, Settlements, and Accounting teams to identify operational improvements and system optimization opportunities.

·  Lead requirements gathering workshops and translate business needs into scalable Allegro solutions.

·  Provide expertise across the full natural gas lifecycle, including:

o Trade Capture

o Contract Management

o Pricing & Curves

o Scheduling & Logistics

o Nominations & Confirmations

o Allocations & Imbalances

o Settlements & Invoicing

·  Support Allegro implementations, upgrades, migrations, and enhancement initiatives.

·  Analyze business processes and recommend best practices aligned with Allegro capabilities.

·  Define and validate functional requirements for integrations with ERP systems, market data providers, exchanges, reporting platforms, and downstream applications.

·  Lead functional design reviews and collaborate with technical teams on solution delivery.

·  Develop business and functional documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user stories, and test strategies.

·  Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployment activities.

·  Provide production support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution guidance.

·  Drive governance, controls, reconciliation processes, and data quality standards across the ETRM platform.

·  Mentor business and technical teams on Allegro functionality and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

·  7+ years of Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM/CTRM) experience.

·  5+ years of hands-on Allegro experience in functional, solution, or SME capacities.

·  Strong understanding of natural gas trading operations and associated business processes.

·  Experience supporting front-, middle-, and back-office functions within commodity trading organizations.

·  Proven experience leading Allegro implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or transformation programs.

·  Expertise in:

o Trade Capture

o Pricing & Valuation

o Curves & Market Data

o Scheduling & Logistics

o Settlements & Invoicing

o Risk and Exposure Reporting

·  Strong knowledge of system integrations and downstream business processes.

·  Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

·  Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience supporting multiple commodities, including Natural Gas, Power, Crude, Refined Products, or NGLs.

·  Knowledge of accounting and settlement workflows related to commodity trading.

·  Experience integrating Allegro with SAP or other ERP platforms.

·  Prior leadership experience serving as an ETRM platform owner, solution lead, or functional lead.

·  Experience supporting cloud-based or modernized Allegro environments.
