Role: Java Production Support
Location: Reston, VA or Washington, DC (Hybrid – Onsite once a month)
Shift: Night Shift (11 PM – 7 AM, Monday–Friday)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Production Support to support production systems during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful Web Services, ensuring reliability, stability, and continuous uptime of critical CareFirst applications.

Required Skills

Provide production support for mission-critical applications during off-hours.
Troubleshoot system and application issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with day-shift teams for incident follow-up and documentation.
Manage deployments, health checks, and system monitoring activities.
Participate in on-call escalation when required.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
Solid experience in production support environments.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Exposure to Big Data platforms – a plus.

Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must be able to:

Work the overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST).
Participate in rotating weekend support schedules.
Attend an onsite second-round interview in either Washington, DC or Reston, VA (no exceptions).
Attend 2–3 weeks of onsite training in Washington, DC or Reston, VA before transitioning to the regular support schedule.
Work onsite once per month following training.
