Job Summary We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst/SME with strong expertise in payment systems and messaging standards. This role focuses on analyzing, designing, and supporting enhancements to payment processing systems, with an emphasis on ISO 20022 and wire payment workflows. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, efficient, and scalable payment solutions while supporting testing, risk management, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Develop use cases, functional specifications, and user stories for payment system enhancements Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Operations to deliver effective solutions Map legacy payment formats to ISO 20022 message structures for wire and international payments Identify and implement automation and process improvements in payment workflows Ensure compliance with regulatory and network standards, including applicable payment guidelines Support fraud prevention, risk management, and AML compliance within payment operations Define and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for system upgrades Work with QA teams to validate payment message formats and ensure accuracy Monitor, track, and resolve defects and issues related to payment processing Support integration efforts across payment systems, APIs, and core banking platforms Facilitate Agile ceremonies and contribute in a hybrid Business Analyst/Scrum role Utilize productivity tools, including AI-assisted tools, to enhance efficiency Required Qualifications Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert in payment systems Deep knowledge of SWIFT messaging, including MT and ISO 20022 (MX) formats Experience with payment processing systems such as wire transfers and related workflows Expertise in ISO 20022 message structures and payment message validation (e.g., pacs and camt formats) Experience with system integrations, APIs, and core banking platforms Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in payment processing, including AML considerations Experience in Agile environments and participation in Scrum practices Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Awareness and ability to use AI tools for productivity improvement Preferred Qualifications Experience with SWIFT, Fedwire, and ISO 20022 implementations in enterprise environments Familiarity with blockchain concepts and distributed ledger technologies Education: Bachelors Degree
