Substation Tender Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Raleigh, NC is seeking a highly professional Tender Manager to support proposal development for substation and EPC projects. This role partners closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to develop competitive bids, assess project feasibility, and deliver customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of proposals and bid packages for substation projects
* Create, edit, and manage proposal documentation and sales support materials
* Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility to ensure competitive offerings
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, supply chain, and project management
* Understand customer business needs, challenges, and project requirements to develop tailored solutions
* Review and validate technical aspects of proposed solutions
* Coordinate supplier and subcontractor quotes for bid submissions
* Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape within utility and data center sectors
* Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex project challenges

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; Electrical Engineering preferred
* Master's degree preferred
* 5 or more years of experience in a related field; Experience with Substations Utilities
preferred; Knowledge of customers and competitors preferred
* Experience with setting up and executing self-perform work
* Record of building and delivery of large programs
* Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e.,
operational, financial, strategic, and tactical thinking, etc.
* Technical and business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills
* Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win
* Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to travel as business requires
* Preferred location: Raleigh
* Secondary locations: Orlando, Houston, or Denver

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
