Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 12+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ServiceNow platform development, workflow automation, integrations, and ITSM best practices. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform solutions.
  • Develop and configure ITSM, Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and CMDB modules.
  • Build custom applications using App Engine Studio and Scoped Applications.
  • Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, ACLs, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications.
  • Create and maintain workflows using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
  • Design and implement REST/SOAP API integrations with third-party enterprise applications.
  • Configure Service Portal and Employee Center components for enhanced user experience.
  • Implement CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Asset Management solutions.
  • Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and instance maintenance activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and Performance Analytics solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and governance.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • ITSM
    • CMDB
    • Service Catalog
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
    • Service Portal
    • Discovery
    • Asset Management
    • Knowledge Management
  • Strong scripting experience using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and ACLs.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, and IntegrationHub Spokes.
  • Experience with App Engine Studio and Scoped Application Development.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow platform architecture.
  • Experience with Source Control, Update Sets, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Additional certifications in ITSM, CMDB, HRSD, CSM, ITOM, or GRC are highly preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tools.
  • Experience working in enterprise cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Education

  • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
