responsibilities:
Serve as the primary on-site facility expert, proactively identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues to prevent customer power and cooling loss.
Dedicate a significant portion of your day to overseeing and directing third-party vendors, ensuring top-tier preventative maintenance and rapid-response emergency repairs of critical equipment.
Respond quickly and effectively to facility alerts-functioning as the "firefighter" of the data center-by diagnosing root causes of tripped breakers or power anomalies and restoring systems promptly.
Manage, monitor, and maintain large-scale Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, industrial backup generators, power transfer systems, and extensive battery arrays.
Oversee mechanical systems, including industrial HVAC units and chillers, understanding complex refrigeration cycles to maintain strict environmental controls.
