We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly skilled Project Manager to join our thriving construction team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the successful initiation, design, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a variety of construction projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, including but not limited to cost control, procurement, team leadership, project management, construction management, contract management, time management, and strategic planning. This is a permanent position with an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of high-profile projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from initial conception and planning to completion and handover.
2. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all work is carried out within the agreed financial parameters.
3. Procure all necessary materials and equipment, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery schedules.
4. Lead and manage project teams, fostering a positive working environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
5. Implement effective project management strategies and processes, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
6. Manage all construction activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
7. Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, resolving any contractual issues that arise.
8. Effectively manage time and resources, prioritising tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
9. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve project objectives, identifying potential risks and opportunities and taking appropriate action.
10. Regularly report on project progress to senior management and clients, providing accurate and timely information.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with cost control, procurement, team leadership, project management, construction management, contract management, time management, and strategic planning.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
6. Strong strategic planning and risk management abilities.
7. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make effective decisions.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
10. Proficient in the use of project management software and other relevant IT systems.
11. A professional qualification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, would be an advantage.
