Java Fullstack Developer (Pair Programming)

Location: Remote (USA) | Contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time. Candidates use their own PC/Mac with a virtual desktop.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Java Fullstack Developer (Pair Programming) to implement applications following 12-factor principles, building out the product and its iterative enhancements. You'll work across the full stack, developing web frontends and backend services, and use test-driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality. You'll also take an active part in team decisions, helping choose the simplest appropriate technology and design to meet user needs.

Responsibilities

• Practice daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products.
• Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.
• Participate in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items that improve the team and the product.
• Collaborate within the team on designing systems and applications.
• Provide support for software products in user environments.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the team's collective knowledge.
• Participate in iteration planning meetings, ensuring the team shares a common understanding of each story and chore in the backlog.
• Participate in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Java or Python
• React.js
• Spring Framework
• Test-driven development (TDD) and pair programming
• Extreme Programming (XP) practices
• CI/CD (Jenkins)

Preferred Qualifications

• JavaScript/TypeScript

Pay rate: $70-75/hr (W2). This is a 6-month contract position, 100% remote in the USA.
