Snowflake Administrator / Data Platform Engineer
Introduction
As a Snowflake Administrator / Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Snowflake data platform in a cloud environment. You will work closely with the data engineering team to ensure the platform is running efficiently and effectively to support our data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Snowflake data platform to ensure high performance and reliability
- Implement and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data workflows
- Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data models
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues, ensuring system availability and data integrity
- Implement and manage security protocols such as RBAC, SSO, and SCIM
- Work with cloud services such as Azure to integrate data platform with other systems
- Stay current on industry best practices and technologies to continuously improve the platform
Requirements
Required Skills
- Experience working with Snowflake data platform
- Strong understanding of data platform architecture and best practices
- Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure
- Experience with data fabric and data governance
- Proficiency in implementing security measures such as RBAC, SSO, and SCIM
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies
- Experience working in a data-intensive environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
