Job Description – AI/ML Engineer (Contract to Hire | Plano, TX,) need local candidates
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced AI/ML Engineer with a strong background in software development, AI/ML architecture, and production deployments. This role is part of an innovative initiative within the Chase Travel domain, focused on leveraging AI to enhance customer and business experiences.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity (603 level) offering exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies. Due to confidentiality, detailed project information will be shared during the interview process.

Location & Work Details

• Location: Plano, TX
• Work Schedule: 5 days onsite (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Employment Type: Contract to Hire
• Interview Process: 2 rounds (Zoom + In-person, includes live coding exercise)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required
• Visa- EAD
• Return to Hire (RTH): Not planned

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions in production environments
  
• Architect and implement RAG-based systems for enterprise use cases
• Build and integrate APIs and microservices supporting AI-driven applications
• Develop conversational AI systems including chatbots and voicebots
  
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud-native AI solutions (AWS)
  
• Ensure responsible AI usage including guardrails, content filtering, and evaluation frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Experience

• 10+ years of software development experience (Java or Python required)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI/ML applications in production
  
• Strong experience in AI/ML architecture and deployment strategies

AI/ML & LLM Expertise

• Strong proficiency in RAG architectures
  
• Chunking strategies
• Embedding models
• Vector databases: Pinecone, OpenSearch, pgvector, FAISS
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks:
• LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or CrewAI
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude models, and model invocation APIs
• Strong prompt engineering capabilities:
• System prompts, few-shot learning, chain-of-thought reasoning, structured outputs

AI Application Development

• Experience building conversational AI systems (chatbots and/or voicebots)
• Knowledge of speech-to-text and text-to-speech integrations

Cloud & DevOps

• Proficiency with AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (ECS/EKS)
• Infrastructure-as-code exposure

Software Architecture

• Strong understanding of:
• API design (REST, GraphQL)
• Microservices architecture
  
• Event-driven systems

Additional Expertise

• Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks
  
• Experience implementing AI guardrails and responsible AI practices
