Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect (100% Remote).
Summary:
Our client, a large financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to strengthen enterprise security posture through secure architecture design, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of proven cloud architecture patterns. The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise architecture expertise with hands-on experience in vulnerability management and remediation. The hiring team places particular emphasis on an architect who understands how to establish and apply effective architecture patterns-not simply someone with experience administering cloud environments.
What You'll Do:
* Design and guide the implementation of secure cloud and enterprise technology solutions focused on improving security posture
* Establish, evaluate, and apply proven architecture patterns and best practices across complex technology environments
* Participate directly in identifying, evaluating, and remediating security vulnerabilities across applications, servers, and supporting infrastructure
* Assess existing architecture and recommend practical solutions to reduce security exposure and improve architectural consistency
* Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to design and implement remediation solutions
* Provide architectural guidance related to identity and access management, network segmentation, and enterprise security controls
* Define scalable, reusable architecture solutions that align with enterprise security and technology standards
* Identify opportunities to automate security controls, vulnerability remediation activities, and related technical processes
* Balance security requirements with application functionality, operational considerations, and broader enterprise architecture objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* 15+ years of overall IT and technical experience, including substantial experience in enterprise or cloud solution architecture
* Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex cloud or enterprise technology solutions
* Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation involving both applications and servers
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as banking, financial services, healthcare, or another environment with stringent security and compliance requirements
* Experience evaluating existing technical architectures and developing practical solutions to complex design and security challenges
* Deep understanding of architecture patterns, solution design principles, and enterprise architecture best practices
* Strong knowledge of secure architecture design and security considerations across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments
* Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure
* Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams and communicate architectural recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
* Extensive AWS cloud architecture experience
* Previous experience in banking, financial services, or healthcare technology environments
* Experience designing or implementing network segmentation solutions
* Experience automating security controls, IAM processes, or vulnerability remediation activities
* Experience with Harness for deployment automation and delivery orchestration
* Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity improvement or security modernization initiatives
* Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development practices
* Identity and access management (IAM) architecture, including access controls and identity-related security improvements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
