Summary

Quoting Optimization Lead

This role is mainly a CPQ / Deal Desk / Revenue Operations / Quoting Policy role—not a technical CPQ developer role.

Location: Palo Alto, CA — On-site/Hybrid

Role Summary

Analyze quoting policies and identify friction in the quote-to-cash process.
Review discounting, approvals, pricing, packaging, deal structure, and exception rules.
Gather pain points from Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Renewals, and Product.
Lead cross-functional discussions and drive agreement on policy changes.
Convert business decisions into clear CPQ/system requirements.
Partner with CPQ/configuration teams for implementation.
Define metrics to measure improvements in quoting speed and efficiency.

Must-Have Skills

8+ years in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Quote-to-Cash, or Commercial Operations.
Hands-on quoting policy/process ownership.
Strong CPQ experience; Salesforce CPQ preferred.
Experience with pricing, discounting, approvals, packaging, and deal structuring.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation.
Experience translating business requirements into CPQ/system requirements.
Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.

Nice to Have

B2B SaaS / Enterprise Software experience.
Deal Desk setup or scaling experience.
NPI / Product Launch experience.
