Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary owner of the network environment, acting as the go-to resource for all network-related issues and initiatives
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructure in a Cisco-based environment
- Own and manage network security architecture, including firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and segmentation strategies
- Lead the replacement and modernization of end-of-life firewall systems
- Assess and improve current architecture, including transition from flat Layer 2 design to segmented networks
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues affecting performance and availability across distributed sites
- Drive network monitoring, alerting, and incident response improvements using tools such as LogicMonitor (or equivalent)
- Collaborate with leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver network initiatives and ensure high uptime
- Maintain and enforce network documentation, standards, and operational procedures
- Support hybrid cloud connectivity (Azure preferred) and future cloud networking initiatives
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff or contractors as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support for critical issues
Required Qualifications- Experience in network engineering within enterprise environments
- hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching (LAN/WAN)
- Proven experience owning and managing firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or similar)
- Deep understanding of:
- Switching (VLANs, STP, trunking, QoS)
- Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Network security (ACLs, NAT, VPNs)
- Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-site network environments
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of critical systems
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56.50 - $56.50/hr.
