Description
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Farmington, Connecticut, and offers a part-time, three-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have expertise in WordPress development, a creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to transform designs into functional web pages.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain existing WordPress sites to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
Create and implement new pages using Elementor and Gutenberg, adhering to provided designs.
Incorporate motion and micro-interactions into web pages to enhance user engagement.
Collaborate on the integration of Google tools, such as a food bank locator, within websites.
Assist with the development of large-scale website projects, including school-related sites.
Translate provided designs into fully operational web pages, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
Support transitions and updates for organization-based websites as needed.
Provide innovative solutions to overcome technical challenges and improve project execution speed.
Requirements
Proficiency in WordPress development, including Elementor and Gutenberg.
Strong skills in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Experience with ASP.NET is a plus.
Ability to create engaging web pages with motion and interactive elements.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability when faced with obstacles.
Familiarity with integrating Google tools into websites.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Previous experience with large-scale web development projects is preferred.
