Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Paralegal, your primary duties will include:
1. Managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
3. Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
4. Coordinating and managing medical records, bills, and lien reductions.
5. Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, judicial personnel, and others.
6. Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
7. Maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines.
8. Participating in team meetings and contributing to case strategy discussions.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury cases.
2. A paralegal certificate or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
3. Proficiency in legal research, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and civil procedure.
4. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, attorneys, and others.
6. Proficiency in the use of legal software and technology, including case management software, e-discovery platforms, and legal research tools.
7. A proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure.
8. A commitment to providing exceptional client service, with the ability to empathize with clients and advocate for their interests.
