Data Visualization Developer - II (Associate)

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Data Visualization Developer - II (Associate) with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Rahway, NJ or West Point, PA. This is Hybrid position.

Summary:

The successful candidate will be a key member of an operations team, focused on supporting initiatives that optimize and automate business operations and processes. The primary responsibility is to develop tools, metrics, and analytics to monitor sourcing, equipment management, and resource utilization. This role will enhance dashboard capabilities using Power BI, Power Apps, or custom tools to enable interactive visualizations, models, and simulations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Power Apps, and/or custom tools to track operational KPIs
• Develop and enhance KPI automation tools and processes, including survey generation and automated reporting
• Build scalable tools and lightweight applications to streamline data capture, integration, and operational reporting workflows
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines to ensure high-quality, accessible datasets
• Partner with scientific and operational SMEs to refine requirements, validate metrics, and deliver user-friendly solutions
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user training for KPI and Power BI solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience developing analytics, dashboards, and operational reporting/automation solutions
• Advanced skills in Power BI and the Power Platform (Power Apps); experience with alternative dashboard tools is acceptable
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis; ability to optimize queries and support high-quality data sources
• Proficiency in Python, including experience building Dash applications
• Familiarity with C#/.NET and JavaScript is preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Pipeline Pilot)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently
• Experience with GIT, Confluence, and good documentation practices
• Proficient in Anthropic's Claude OPUS LLM

Desired skills:

• Experience with Appian
• Experience with other AI models (such as OpenAI)
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques
• Familiarity with data platforms such as Dataiku and Dataverse
• Experience with operational data in business settings
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)

Pay range: Up to $74.08 per Hour
