Job#: 3040137 Job Description: Application Engagement Reliability Engineer
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite/2 days remote
Location: New York, New York; Pittsburgh, PA; Lake Mary, FL
Contract through the end of 2026 (high likelihood of extension based on project needs)
Pay Range: $110-120/hr.
Role Overview
This role will lead application recovery engagement across critical business areas and help operationalize application viability within an isolated recovery zone (IRZ) as part of a Cyber Resiliency Strategy. The ideal candidate is a senior application or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) leader who can manage complex application recovery coordination. This position is focused on engagement with application teams from all critical business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application recovery, integration, and rehydration within the IRZ.
- Manage and execute cross-platform resiliency initiatives.
- Orchestrate incident response for business-critical events.
- Define and implement the SRE strategy for the IRZ environment.
- Develop and set processes, governance, and supporting technology for application development teams.
- Manage relationships with business and technology partners.
- Drive continuous improvement of cyber response capabilities through automation and toil reduction.
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like AI and automation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience: 15-20+ years of related experience is required. Experience managing application support teams, including maintenance, integration, and implementation of software applications. People leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
Technical Skills: Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and ITIL. Advanced knowledge in Automated Testing, Automation, CI/CD Methods, DevSecOps Practices, Incident Response & Management, Performance Engineering, Reporting & Trending, Service Data Analytics, and Service Tool Development.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic plans for Production Services.
- Advanced knowledge of Web Security.
