RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a part-time Junior QA Engineer in Wexford, PA to join our client's product development team and contribute to a project with complex business logic and high-quality expectations. You will work on a web-based platform used by a large, distributed user base, ensuring stability, accuracy, and seamless end-to-end functionality.

Summary:
This role requires strong experience in front-end and back-end testing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to understand and validate complex system behaviors. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, designers, and product owners to ensure requirements are fully understood and properly implemented.

Key Tasks:
* Junior QA Engineer will perform comprehensive testing of web applications, including UI, functionality, usability, data accuracy, and end-to-end flows
* Conduct front-end/UI testing using tools such as DevTools (e.g. Chrome Dev Tools) and design artifacts in Figma
* Execute backend testing using Swagger, Postman, and direct API validation techniques
* Validate data using PostgreSQL, including writing simple SQL queries to confirm data integrity across components
* Analyze, clarify, and validate functional requirements, ensuring test coverage across all business scenarios
* Create, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and test documentation for smoke, regression, and feature testing
* As a Junior QA Engineer, you will identify, document, and track defects, providing clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
* Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, designers, and QA team members to ensure consistent understanding of system behavior
* Participate actively in project meetings, grooming sessions, and planning discussions
* Work effectively within a fast-paced environment involving complex system logic and integrations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience in manual functional testing of web applications
* Experience testing systems with complex business logic, multi-step workflows, or multi-component interactions
* Solid experience in API testing using Swagger and Postman
* Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar
* Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including writing simple SQL queries for backend validation
* Strong understanding of requirements analysis and the ability to identify unclear or incomplete requirements
* Strong skills in front-end testing, including using DevTools (e.g. Chrome DevTools) and validating UI against Figma designs
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
