Pay Rate: $90-$95/hr
OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Data Strategy & Reporting Consultant to assess the current operational data landscape and develop a roadmap for improving reporting, measurement, and decision-making capabilities. This is a consultative leadership role requiring both strong technical expertise and the ability to evaluate current-state environments, identify gaps, and recommend practical future-state solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, data strategy, or related consulting roles.
- Strong consultant mindset with experience assessing current-state data environments and making strategic recommendations.
- Proven ability to evaluate complex data ecosystems and create actionable roadmaps for improvement.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools, including:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Similar BI and reporting platforms
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Data Intelligence, and Finance.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and executive-facing consulting skills.
Responsibilities- Review existing operational reports, dashboards, data sources, and reporting capabilities.
- Assess data quality, completeness, consistency, and integrity of operational metrics.
- Identify gaps in workload visibility, including:
- Manual processes
- Rework activities
- Work performed outside core workflow platforms
- Outsourced operations
- Evaluate current reporting capabilities and accessibility of business-critical data.
- Assess governance practices, including metric ownership, accountability, and standard definitions across business functions.
- Determine data requirements for:
- Staffing models
- Capacity planning
- Forecasting
- Productivity measurement
- Automation initiatives
- Operational planning
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve operational reporting.
- Develop a prioritized roadmap outlining recommendations, dependencies, sequencing, effort estimates, and quick wins.
- Recommend a sustainable governance framework to ensure ongoing metric integrity and consistency.
- Evaluate organizational structure, team alignment, capacity, and skill sets supporting operational reporting and data management.
- Provide recommendations for future-state operating models and team structures.
