Job Description

A remote (virtual) Aircraft Maintenance Publications Writer job is available through Belcan supporting Pratt & Whitney. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have experience developing maintenance manuals to S1000D authoring and illustration standards. Writers will need to be able to interoperate engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models. FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or other related experience is preferred. Remote support is acceptable.

Job Duties:
- Communicate with the customer and team leads to fully understand the requirements of given tasks
- Work closely with engineers, maintenance technicians, and other subject matter experts to gather accurate technical information and manage review cycles
- Perform tasks assigned by team leads and project manager
- Perform all tasks within a team environment
- Create, revise, and maintain S1000D compliant Data Modules (procedural, descriptive, fault isolation).
- Comply with ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English
- Proofread, format, and edit technical content to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability for end-users
- Provide illustrator markups and hotspot linking requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- ISODraw and Arbortext experience
- Interest in aviation and/or aerospace applications
- Willingness to travel to support onsite activities
-Familiarity with S1000D Issue 4.2 standards
-Prior experience with writing and editing aircraft maintenance manuals

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $55,000 to $73,500 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
