Our client, a contract chemical manufacturerwithin the Cincinnati area, is seeking a Chemical Production Manager to join their team. As a Chemical Production Manager, you will be part of the Site Leadership Team supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
They need someone who is going to be very relatable on the shop floor as well as customer facing. A bias for action and coaching style with the ability to change the culture of the plant and upskill employees to achieve high employee engagement and World Class Manufacturing mindset. This person sets clear expectations, leads by example and holds employees accountable for meeting the standard. A person with strong chemical manufacturing background with working and demonstrated knowledge to troubleshoot day-to-day as well as support World Class Manufacturing Operating System (more on the Lean and Total Productive Maintenance areas than Six Sigma).
Job Title:Chemical Production Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45204
Pay Range:$140,000 - $150,000 + 15% Bonus
Accountable for a large team spanning 4 shifts. Current shifts are 12 hours on a 2-2-3 schedule working 24/7 with personnel working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and 7:00pm-7:30AM. Must be flexible to support all hours of operations and available to make decisions and direct resources.
What\'s the Job?
\t- Lead and manage a diverse team of approximately 70+ personnel across multiple departments including flaking, pastillation, production, and packaging. \t
- Set strategic direction to achieve site objectives related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and housekeeping. \t
- Drive a culture of compliance, ownership, and continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and operational excellence tools. \t
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction. \t
- Participate in and facilitate strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to support operational goals.

- Strong technical understanding of processes + structured problem solving \t
- Demonstrated maintenance/reliability leadership (TPM mindset) \t
- Ability to build and sustain a CI system (not just run projects) \t
